Meet Our Staff
Hello, I am Micole Amalu, Certified Thermographic Technician. My drive has always been to encourage others to be the best versions of themselves and live abundant lives. This has been lived out in various capacities, including campus missionary work, nanny care, and engagement in mental health advocacy. My desire to help others led me to receiving a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and I am now working toward a master’s in mental health counseling. Along the way, my health often interfered with life goals and was always more complicated than what traditional health care systems have been able to address.
My introduction to alternative health care came at the age of seven. I was experiencing chronic pain that doctors couldn’t explain or treat. Within a few chiropractic visits, my pain was gone! Since then, there have been countless times that I have found relief through holistic explanations and remedies outside the mainstream medical model. In the past four years particularly, I have been interested in functional models of healthcare and root cause approaches.
This journey and searching has led me to clinical thermography! Thermography, a non-invasive technique, records changes in surface skin temperature using an infrared camera, creating a thermogram that aids in the multi-modal approach of diagnosing various health conditions. This method can assist in early cancer detection, vascular disease assessment, rheumatology, fever detection, neuromusculoskeletal disorders, thyroid disorders, and inflammatory conditions.
I have completed thermography training and earned certification through the International Association of Clinical Thermographers, a leading authority in establishing standards and protocols in medical imaging.
